We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Atlanta and contribute to the maintenance, repair, and assembly of our electric vehicles.

Job Description

As a Service Technician at eStar Rides, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our electric bikes, scooters, and motorcycles. You will be responsible for conducting repairs, maintenance, and assembly work, helping to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electric bikes, scooters, and motorcycles, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Assembly: Assemble new electric vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines and quality standards, ensuring that each unit is ready for sale or rental.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure that all vehicles are in excellent condition before being released to customers.
  • Parts Management: Collaborate with the Parts Manager to maintain spare parts inventory, order necessary components, and keep accurate records of parts usage.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, especially when working with electrical components and batteries.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain repair and maintenance procedures, answer questions, and provide technical assistance when necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, the Parts Manager, and the Operations Manager to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service.
  • Training: Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and emerging trends through training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably with electric bikes, scooters, or motorcycles.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Knowledge of eco-friendly transportation and electric vehicles is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school or technical certification preferred).
